SRCE Regional Executive Director says New School Year Has Started Off Well

Sep 21, 2020 | Local News

The head of the Strait Regional Centre for Education says there are always a few wrinkles when starting a new school year, but overall things are progressing as hoped.

Paul Landry, regional executive director for the Strait Regional Centre for Education, said the first week went well, calling it a testament to all of the hard work, planning, and cooperation of staff, students, and guardians. He made special note of the work families did in preparing students for the new school year.

On the teacher side of things, Landry said they are reporting things are going well, noting there was a bit of transition period in dealing with the number of changes to the regular school routine due to public health regulations relating to COVID-19.

Landry said staff have been doing a fantastic job of reminding students of the new public health measures.
