on campus on Sunday and had been in quarantine in residence and following the prescribed safety protocols. Hakin says the student opted to go for testing which produced the positive result. He says the student continues to safely isolate on campus with the appropriate academic and operational supports in place as part of the university’s pandemic plans.

Any contact tracing is being handled by Public Health.

Students from outside the Atlantic region arrived in Antigonish this week to begin their two weeks of self-isolation. The university recommends students should get one COVID-19 test on day 6,7 or 8 of their quarantine. Appointments should be booked up to three days in advance by completing the COVID-19 self-assessment.
