St. FX University has announced its return to class plan for the winter term. It was approved by
the university’s Senate last week.
As with the fall term, provincial and federal public health requirements will mean students returning to class after Christmas from outside the Atlantic bubble will have to self-isolate for 14 days.
The last day of exams for the fall term will be December 14th, and the university closes for the Christmas break on December 23rd.
All students from outside the Atlantic bubble will return to their on or off-campus residence on January 4th and 5th to begin their mandatory quarantine. Students from inside the Atlantic bubble who don’t need to self-isolate won’t be permitted to return to their on-campus residence until January 19th. All classes will begin on January 13th with the first week of instruction offered on-line only. There will not be classes on January 19th to allow students from inside the Atlantic bubble to return to their residence. Classes resume on January 20th, and those scheduled to be delivered in-person in classrooms will begin.
Virtual information sessions will be held this week for staff and faculty, students and parents
