Stellarton has passed second and final reading of a new deer management by-law after going through the results of a town survey on the matter.
The new by-law has been submitted to the Minister of Municipal Affairs for final review. Mayor Darren Stroud says the next step will be educating the public on what the new by-law will and won’t allow, and the fines for breaking the rules.
The Deer Management By-law will soon be available for the public to read on the town’s website.
