Stellarton Police and RCMP investigate Suspicious Death

RCMP and Stellarton Police are investigating a suspicious death.  Last night around 10:40 p.m., Stellarton Police responded to a call of an injured man at a home on Maple Street.  The man was taken by EHS to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
After talking to witnesses, police found a dead man in a nearby home.  The RCMP’s Northeast Nova Major Crimes and Forensic Identification Units were called in to assist with the investigation.
Police say both men involved in this incident were known to each other, and this was not a random act.  Stellarton Police are being assisted in this investigation by the RCMP, which is in its early stages.  The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner will assist to determine the cause of death.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the RCMP at 902-896-5060 or Stellarton Police at 902-752-6160.  You can also contact Nova Scotia Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, on line at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or use the P3 app.
