A planned power shutdown will take place on Sunday, Dec. 13 at Strait Richmond Hospital in

Evanston to complete a required upgrade on the system. The shutdown will begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13 and will last until 6 p.m. that evening.
During the shutdown, the hospital’s emergency department will remain open. Inpatient services will not be affected by the loss of power. Staff will still provide care, meals and medication to patients and residents.
The hospital will operate on generator power while the shutdown is underway. There will be no impact to the phone system or elevators during this time. A team will be onsite during the shutdown to address any concerns.
