for a leadership conference.

The Nova Scotia Secondary School Students’ Association is holding the event, which this year is dubbed FLAME or Fueling Leadership and Maintaining Enthusiasm. Local organizer Tessa Pelerine said the annual NSSSA conferences teach students leaderships skills. Fellow organizer Hilus Keay said usually around 100-150 students attend.

Pelerine said attendees can expect to meet new people from across the province at the Strait. The NSSSA FLAME Regional Conference is set to begin with drop off at 9 a.m. on Saturday and pick up for students is noon on Sunday.
