Today marks the 12th annual Stand Up Against Bullying Day at Nova Scotia schools.
Strait Regional Centre for Education communications coordinator Deanna Gillis said there are a
number of events taking place at local schools. Gillis said schools are encouraging students and staff to wear pink and activities include in-class discussions, writing activities, student created displays promoting positive messages, random acts of kindness, and others.
Gillis called the day an important time to celebrate and recognize the need for positive, safe, inclusive, and healthy learning environments and relationships.
