Costumed animators visiting local schools during Gaelic Nova Scotia Month

Gaelic Nova Scotia Month is upon us, and many cultural events are happening throughout the province to help celebrate Scottish and Irish culture. In particular, schools throughout the Strait Regional School Board will be getting first hand accounts of Scottish Settlement from period animators.
The Highland Village Museum in Iona sends costumed animators to schools to help show children about their Gaelic ancestory. Lewis MacKinnon is the Executive Director for Gaelic affairs in the Province. He says programs such as this help children appreciate their family roots:
