The two bear cubs who were at risk of being euthanized in Inverness County are safe now, and recovering. The mother had passed away, meaning the cubs were not receiving the care they needed, resulting in one cub being quite sick.
Bobby Morris is the Liberal candidate for Inverness, and was busy the night the fuzzy bears were discovered. Morris says that many steps had to be taken to ensure the cubs are safe moving forward:
Morris says he was in contact with Natural Resources while the bears were being relocated, and can confirm that they are doing better. It remains unclear, however, what the future will hold for the bears.

Lack of housing – an issue that impacts large cities, but one local candidate in the upcoming election sees this as a problem in Inverness. Bobby Morris is the Liberal candidate in the upcoming Provincial election for the Inverness area.
After more than a week of listening to residents, Morris says he is hearing concerns from locals about housing in the area. Although people are leaving, it’s still hard for new residents to find a home:
Morris is also working with a community group while the Dalbrae School Feeder System is under review from the SRSB. Morris looks forward to hearing from more residents during his rookie campaign.
