Beth Wolters is the community leader of L’Arche Antigonish. Wolters says that the Antigonish community shares a great relationship with L’Arche:
Registration for the event is open on the L’Arche Facebook page, with the fun run taking place this Sunday at the St.FX track.

L’Arche Antigonish exploring options after receiving it’s largest ever donation

The Community Leader of L’Arche Antigonish Beth Wolters says news of a very large donation to her organization is both exciting, mixed with a touch of sadness.   L’Arche

A large Thank You poster is held up at a L’Arche fund-raising event Friday night as Surinder Sarwal announces via teleconference in Halifax he is donating $250,000 to L’Arche Antigonish.

Antigonish has received the largest donation in its history, $250,000 from Surinder Sarwal of Halifax.  His son, Sachan has been a member of L’Arche Antigonish for more than two years.  Wolters says while it is very grateful for the donation, she realizes the gift is being made now because the donor is unwell.

Wolters says no decision has been made on what the donation will be used for.

Sarwal says the gift is to show the family’s appreciation of his daughter Shelly and her husband for their continuous love, care and affection of Sachan.  The Halifax couple are strong supporters of L’Arche Antigonish. In appreciation for the gift, Sachan produced an art work for his father.
