A luncheon was held Thursday for members of the business community and government officials to discuss the benefits of exporting goods globally from
Antigonish. President and CEO of Nova Scotia Business Inc, Laurel Broten, was the guest speaker.
Broten discussed the feasibility of business export from Antigonish. Many groups within the town already have found success from globalizing their goods and services. Broten says now, more than ever, is the best opportunity for local businesses to start branching out:
Broten said while the upfront cost of exporting can be daunting, the people at Nova Scotia Business Inc. have the means and services to help with the first steps. The event was put on by the Antigonish Chamber of Commerce.
