St. FX Music Professor plans another album release next year Inspired by Art Works

With one record project released, St. FX Music professor Paul Tynan has his eye on three more.  Recently Tynan and Grammy Award winning Jazz musician Aaron Lington released their latest collaboration “Bicoastal Collective:   Chapter Five”.   Plans are in the works for two more recordings in the Bicoastal series.  Tynan also has another project in development, a quartet recording inspired by original works of art.
Tynan expects the record will be released in about a year from now.  The recording will also include a book containing the original art works.

St. Music Professor Paul Tynan and Grammy Award winning Musician Aaron Lington continue their music collaboration

It’s a collaboration between a St. FX Music professor Paul Tynan and a Grammy award winning musician that now spans five albums. Recently Tynan, who plays trumpet and flugelhorn and San Jose-based Baritone Saxophonist Aaron Lington released their latest jazz recording Bicoastal Collective:  Chapter Five.  Tynan and Lington first began recording together in 2008.
Tynan is encouraged by the attention the record is getting.
The album was recorded last summer in Texas, involving 18 to 20 musicians, including St. FX music grad and Antigonish native Josh Hanlon.  Tynan says plans are being mapped out for two more records in the Bicoastal series.
