Telephone and Internet voting has opened for a special election to fill a vacant seat on District 
of St. Mary’s Council. The municipality says the voting opened over the weekend at noon on Saturday. Voting will continue 24 hours a day until the polls close this Saturday, the 16th at 7 p.m.
Two names are on the ballot, James Harpell and James M. Bingley.
The District 8 seat became vacant after incumbent Peggy Kaiser-Kirk resigned in October.
