There are several options on what to do with your Christmas Tree after the holidays. Some

The N-C-C’s Andrew Holland says placing the tree on your property helps local birds.
By the spring, the tree will have lost most of its needles. Cut the tree branches, lay them where spring flowers start to emerge in your garden and place the trunk in the soil, but not on top of the flowers. By the fall the branches and trunk will begin to decompose and turn into soil.
