Provincial Health officials say there are three new cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia. That raises the number of active cases in the province to five. The three new cases are in the Central Zone. Two are related to travel outside the country and the third is a close contact of them. All three have been self isolating. None are related to the outbreak in New Brunswick.
Nova Scotia Health Authority’s labs completed 743 Nova Scotia tests on Friday.
So far, Nova Scotia has 100,542 negative test results; 1.092 positive COVID-19 cases and 65 deaths. One is currently hospitalized in ICU.
Nova Scotia Public Health is also warning that some passengers on a recent Air Canada flight from Toronto to Halifax may have been exposed to COVID-19. Air Canada flight 626 arrived in Halifax just after midnight on October first. Passengers in rows 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 in seats D. E. and F are more likely to have had close contact. Passengers in those seats are asked to call 811 for advice. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on this flight may develop symptoms up to October 15th.
