Three New Cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia

There are three new cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.  Provincial Health and Wellness department officials say all three are in Central Zone.  One is a close contact of a previously reported case and two are related to travel outside of Atlantic Canada.  There number of active cases continues to fall. There are now 22 active cases; on Wednesday there were 25.  One person is in hospital.  Nova Scotia Health Authority labs completed 2,203 Nova Scotia tests on Wednesday.

The province has also announced a relaxing of restrictions for restaurants and licensed establishments in the Halifax Regional Municipality and Hants County.  They can now re-open for dine-in service starting Monday.  They must follow province-wide restrictions, including ending serve by 10 p.m. and closing by 11 p.m.  They can continue takeout and delivery service with no restrictions.  However the Halifax casino and VLT’s remain closed.
