Three People die in a Multi-Vehicle Crash in Antigonish County

RCMP say three people have died in a three vehicle crash on Highway 104 in Dagger Woods, Antigonish County on Saturday afternoon.  The collision occurred shortly before 4 p.m. Police say a 67-year-old woman and a 36-year-old woman who were travelling in a 2006 Honda Civic were pronounced dead at the scene.  The two people in the second vehicle, a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox were transported via EHS to St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish.  One person in the second vehicle, a 60-year-old woman died at the hospital and the other remains in St. Martha’s with non-life-threatening injuries.  One of the two people in the third vehicle a 2013 Ford F-150 was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

An RCMP collision analyst was at the scene to assist with the investigation.  Traffic was detoured around the scene on to the Dagger Woods Road until after 10 p.m.
