A trio of university students in Antigonish received fines from police this week for not self
isolating.
Between September 4 and 7, RCMP received complaints about 4 university students from outside the Atlantic bubble not self isolating. Upon further investigating, RCMP officers determined the individuals, three of whom were in Antigonish, were in violation of the health protection act and each were fined $1,000. The fourth student was from Wolfville.
The Nova Scotia RCMP is reminding people arriving in Nova Scotia from outside of the Atlantic Bubble to follow all Public Health orders, including completing a self-isolation period of 14 days.
