Hughie MacDougall wants to know when renovations at Sunset Manor will be complete.
During last night’s regular town council meeting, MacDougall pointed out that it’s hard to even determine the start date of the installation of a new wheelchair ramp at the entrance, as well as new floors.
Because of the old flooring at the manor, he said he s getting calls from residents about silverfish in the floors. The town councillor recommends that current carpet be replaced.
MacDougall said he’s heard the start date might be around the end of the year, and he agreed to a suggestion from Mayor Brenda Chisholm-Beaton to have Chief Administrative Office Terry Doyle reach out to Housing Cape Breton for information.
