The Town of Antigonish announced Monday it awarded a tender in the amount of $834,846 plus HST to BD Clifton Contracting limited for the next phase of the Active Transportation trail.

A release from the town states the next phase of the AT trail includes an asphalt path and replacing the existing sidewalk to enable improved mobility, adding it will connect with the existing trail on West Street , a long St. Ninian Street, ending at Church Street, with construction expected to take eight weeks.
