The Town of Antigonish is reoffering it’s town mural and photo program this fall. The 
beautification committee is looking for local submissions for the program from local artists, with the selected artists getting a $1,000 honorarium for their work.
Councillor Andrew Murray said many buildings in the town would make for the perfect canvas and the town looks forward to adding a new mural to its collection. The themes for this year include diversity, heritage-history, wellness, sustainability, and education.
Applications can be found on the town’s web site and submission are due October 16, though extensions are possible if people want to contact the town. Once the final design is selected, the town’s beautification will work with the artist on a timeline.
