The Town of Antigonish has noticed some improvement in the James River Dam as a result of the rain. Officials say 25 millimetres fell at the dam. The dam level has risen by 1.5 feet; it remains 5.79 feet below normal.
While that is encouraging, the town says Mandatory Water Conservation Measures will remain in effect. Conditions will be reassessed tomorrow morning, an update on dam levels will be shared then.
