Town of New Glasgow Seeks Funding to Assist Homeowners in making their Dwellings More Energy Efficient

Nov 17, 2020 | Local News

The town of New Glasgow has applied for funding through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities for a program that would enable ten homeowners per year to have their properties undergo an energy audit. CAO Lisa MacDonald explains that the town would provide the cost upfront for projects that could not only lessen energy bills, but also use greener energy.

Ideally, the potential energy savings would enable the homeowner to pay back the “loan” without much effect on their bottom line.
