The town of Pictou is holding their tax rate steady.
Council approved a balanced Operating Budget for 2026/27, with taxable assessments up 7.5%. The tax rate stays at $1.69 per $100 assessment for residential property, and $4.34 per $100 assessment for commercial.
There have been some changes to fees, but overall no large increases.
