The town of Pictou is – for the time being – not going to add a three percent Marketing Levy to accommodations in town as the other municipalities in Pictou County already have.
Council decided to table the discussion at their regular monthly meeting Monday night, citing concerns of rising costs from smaller businesses and noting that they already contribute money to groups like Destination Eastern & Northumberland Shores.
