The town of Stellarton passed first reading of their planned deer management by-law at last night’s regular meeting of council.
The proposed by-law was drafted by town staff with guidance from council following a public survey and consultation with other municipalities. Citizens can read the draft by-law at Town Hall or on the town’s website.
There will be a public meeting about the by-law before second reading at the next scheduled meeting of council on September 14th.
Citizens can come to the public meeting, or submit feedback to the town before September 14th.
