The New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crime Unit charged two people as a result of an ongoing investigation.
At 6:30 a.m. on Thursday morning, New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Pleasant Street New Glasgow. During the search, officers arrested two persons without incident and seized cell phones, weigh scales and bags, a large quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine and cash.
The Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Dog Services also assisted in the search warrant.

39-year-old Jessica Martell of New Glasgow, faces two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and one count each of Trafficking, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Failure to Comply with an Undertaking.
33-year-old Tyler Ryan of Port Hawkesbury faces charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Failure to Comply with Probation, and Failure to Comply with a Release Order.
Both were held in custody and were set to appear in provicial court on Thursday. New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.
