Water at James River Dam is close to spilling over but until it does, the Town of Antigonish will remain on voluntary water restrictions.
Antigonish Town Mayor Sean Cameron said, typically, there is more rain in the fall and they are hopeful the additional rain will alleviate the water issue. He said the town is looking at measures to help deal with water issues in the future.
Cameron said the town increased the water flow to the James River to ensure fish habitat.
