Customers of the New Glasgow Water Utility will paying more.
The Nova Scotia Regulatory and Appeals Board approved an application for adjustments to the town’s water rates recently.

Town officials say the increases for customers are 14.5 per cent this year, 13.8 per cent in 2027 and 13.5 per cent in 2028. The proposed increase means the average home user would pay about $9.52 more per quarter or $40 per year in 2026.
The last water rate increase took place in 2017.
