With a U-Sports championship on the line, the StFX X-women hockey team is getting ready to
take on the best competition the country has to offer.
The X women defeated Saint Mary’s 2 games to none in the AUS finals, earning them a betrh in the national tournament, hosted by UPEI. StFX is ranked third and will take on Montreal tonight.
Head coach Ben Berthiaume said the team was happy to get the win, particularly after coming up short in the AUS final the last three years.
Berthiaume also thanked the community on behalf of the program for the overwhelming support during game 2, which had a turnout of around 1,500 fans at the Keating Centre.
