Nova Scotia Summer Fest at Keppoch Mountain Cancelled

Apr 27, 2020 | Local News

The second annual Nova Scotia Summer Fest, set for August 28th and 29th at Keppoch Mountain in Antigonish County has been cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2020 event was a follow-up to last year’s successful festival which included Great Big Sea’s Alan Doyle, Classified, Heather Rankin and Christine Campbell.

This year’s line-up included Canadian Country Music Group of the Year Washboard Union, The Trews, Jimmy Rankin, Christine Campbell, Neon Dreams, Anna Ludlow, Cassie & Maggie, Myles Goodwyn and Ryan Cook.

Nova Scotia Summer Fest Founder and Executive Director Ray Mattie says the idea of cancelling the event was considered as early as March 15th, but required working with many players before announcing. Mattie says the 2021 Nova Scotia Summer Fest will include the entire 2020 line-up. The dates for the 2021 Nova Scotia Summer Fest are August 27th and 28th.
