Anaconda Mining started a new drilling program at the Goldboro Gold Project.
Kevin Bullock, president and CEO of Anaconda, said the drill program, which started today, will last around two and a half months, with the company getting the results back four to six weeks later.
A release form the company states the drilling can the potentially to add significant value by extending the life of mine and improving the project’s economics. They are hoping to have a feasibility study completed by the end of the year with a final investment decision to come early in the new year with a goal of construction to begin by the end of next year.
The company also announced they considered logistical matters given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, to ensure the drilling and any other programs are done in a way ensuring the health and safety of personnel, contractors, and the surrounding communities.
