Antigonish County officials say some of its residents will be contacted to participate in a recreation-related phone survey.
The municipality’s Recreation Director Marlene Melanson says the survey is intended to get feedback from county residents on physical activity opportunities that currently exist and others they’d like to see in the future.
Melanson says it’s a follow-up to a similar survey a few years ago.
Melanson says in the last survey, one of the key findings was residents identified walking as an activity they wanted to do more of.
Melanson says that feedback helped the county in shaping its active transportation plan. She says the information gathered is also helpful to the province in developing programs and services to support municipalities.
