The Town of Antigonish is applying to the federal government`s Housing Accelerator Fund.
Antigonish Mayor Laurie Boucher explained it is program that incentivises local government to improve housing supply. Boucher said council is aware there is a housing crunch in the area and it is imperative that something be done as soon as possible, noting they need accessible, affordable, and available housing.
The application window closes on August 18.
