Hockey Nova Scotia is proud to announce Antigonish Minor Hockey Association development coordinator Mike Stewart as the recipient of the 2020 Development Coordinator of the Year Award.
A release from Hockey Nova Scotia states Stewart brought an innovative approach to skill development in the Antigonish Minor Hockey Association and other development initiatives that he has been involved with for over 20 years. A former coach of the Major Novas program, his knowledge and relationship with the players brings him instant respect as he helps them take their games to new heights.
As the local development coordinator, Stewart dedicates countless hours each week to ensuring the AMHA skill sessions, multi-sport programs, learn to play programs, checking clinics, and under-9 initiatives are supported. Hockey Nova Scotia states Stewart is an instrumental part of the local hockey community.
