Central Nova has been getting some attention from national party leaders with two visits this week. Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau made a swing through New Glasgow on Tuesday by visiting a local coffee shop, while Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer was in Little Harbour, Pictou County last night for a rally.
St. FX Political Science Professor Jim Bickerton says that kind of attention this late in the campaign suggests the result on Monday in Central Nova could be tight.
Liberal incumbent Sean Fraser won handily in the last election taking 58.5 percent of the vote; part of the Liberal sweep of Atlantic Canada. Fraser faces six other opponents this time, with the stiffest challenge coming from Conservative George Canyon.
