Gasoline and Diesel Prices fall as World Oil Prices Plummet

Mar 11, 2020 | Local News

Fuel prices have taken a big drop. The Utility and Review Board invoked the interrupter clause and adjusted the price of gas and diesel overnight. The UARB says it made the change due to what it calls significant shifts in the market prices of gasoline and diesel.  Oil prices have been plunging, as part of a general slowdown of the world economy due to the Covid-19 virus.

Gasoline fell by 10.5 cents a litre. The minimum price for a litre of gasoline  is now 96.5 cents in the eastern mainland. In Cape Breton it’s 97.3 cents.

Diesel is down by 10.3 cents a litre. The minimum price for a litre of diesel is 92.9 cents in the eastern mainland. On Cape Breton it is now 93.7 cents
