A local acting workshop for kids kicks off tomorrow.
Bauer Theatre, home of Festival Antigonish Summer Theatre
Inspir-Act-ion, a six week acting workshop for kids running every Saturday, from 10 am to 11:30 a.m., will start tomorrow and run until December 12. The Bauer Theatre with host the workshop for kids 9 to 14.
Local actor and organizer Noella Murphy said the Bauer looked at offering different theatre workshops and Andrea Boyd, artistic director with Festival Antigonish/Theatre Antigonish, fielded a number of calls asking about classes for kids. Murphy said she spoke with Boyd and they came up with Inspir-Act-ion.
Murphy said it is going to be different, with masks and social distancing protocols in place, but she wants to make it interesting and fun while sharing her love of theatre.
