Several local groups are receiving support from the province in a $10 million program as part of its Back to Work Community Partnership Initiative. The funding will help groups plan and deliver short-term programs aimed at helping people build skills and connect to the local workforce.
The Inverness County Literacy Council will receive $135,000 for a Back to Work Project. The Antigonish County Adult Learning Association is getting $43,000 for a Community Careers in Entrepreneurship program.
Also receiving funding is the Richmond County Literacy Network; $269,000 for its Work Options project.
