Work is underway to recognize New Glasgow Born actor, poet, and playwright Walter Borden.

During a meeting of New Glasgow Town Council Monday night, staff agreed to put together a working group to plan an event in Borden’s honour. New Glasgow Mayor Nancy Dicks said she received an email from Borden’s sister, Arleen Paris, who was interested in having the town celebrate Borden in recognition of his accomplishments.
The mayor said the town loves participating in events celebrating and recognizing those from the area.
