Antigonish native Paul MacLean will soon be behind the bench for the Columbus Blue Jackets.The NHL team formally announced MacLean’s hire as an assistant coach today.
Blue Jackets Head Coach John Tortorella says MacLean’s primary focus is going to be the power play. Tortorella, speaking to reporters in Columbus prior to tonight’s game with Detroit says MacLean will also bring a fresh perspective to the team.
The Blue Jackets say MacLean will join the team as soon as immigration procedures are completed.
