The Royal Canadian Legion in St. Peter’s is getting some help from the provincial government.

Richmond MLA Trevor Boudreau, says the legion will receive $50,000 for the installation of a generator for a community comfort centre and as a gathering place during extreme weather events and prolonged power outages.
The money comes from the province’s Community Generator Fund, which helps facilities create comfortable spaces for residents by installing generators.
