Conservatives in Central Nova find themselves having to find a new candidate to run in
October’s federal election. Westville Mayor Roger MacKay, who was the Tory candidate for Central Nova, announced on social media yesterday he is stepping down. In a statement, MacKay says his reason for bowing out is personal and it’s not a decision he took lightly. No further explanation was given.
MacKay also thanked everyone who supported him as he campaigned across the riding.
