Search for Missing 73-year-old New Glasgow Area Woman Suspended

The search to find a missing 73-year-old New Glasgow area woman has been suspended.
New Glasgow Regional Police say efforts to locate Adair Townsend were called off Saturday evening, but may be reactivated if any new information is received.  Townsend was last seen on April 9th in the Mount William Road, Highway 106 and Landfill Road areas.
Search teams spent more than 4,700 volunteer hours in dense wooded areas, streams, trails, streets and waterways in the Mount William area.  Ground Search and Rescue teams from across the province assisted in looking for Townsend along with RCMP, including air and Police Dog Services,  Natural Resources and Rewables Air Services, as well as New Glasgow and Alma Fire Departments.
Police say there is no evidence of criminality at this time.

Adair Townsend is described as female, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 110 pounds, grey medium length hair, wearing a grey/blue coat, black Doc Martin boots and glasses.
