Seven New Cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia

There are seven new cases of COVID-19 in the province.  All of the new cases are in the Central Zone.  Five are new cases are close contacts of previously reported cases.  The other two are related to travel outside of Atlantic Canada.

Premier Stephen McNeil says as we head into the last weekend before Christmas, he urged Nova Scotians to remain vigilant to contain the virus.

The number of active cases of the virus is now 48, two less than Thursday.  Nova Scotia Health Authority’s labs completed 1,565 tests Nova Scotia tests on Thursday.

There were also 1,506 rapid tests administered from December 11th to 17th at pop sites including, Antigonish, Truro, Sydney, Halifax and Dartmouth.
