Elizabeth Yeo, said the school continues to follow the many protocols it installed last August.
Yeo said the student arrived at residence on January 3, has been isolating and following the public health protocols, and will continue to isolated on campus. She said X’s plan is to continue to proceed with welcoming students coming back, noting most of the students need to isolate will return by today (Wednesday).
Online classes are set to resume on January 13 and in person classes will resume January 20. In the meantime, StFX has the Neighbours Helping Neighbours program with around 500 volunteers offering assistance to isolating students. On campus, teams are offering support to students in residence, with programming offered for activities and meals.
Yeo also thanked the Antigonish community for helping students with calls, grocery deliveries, and other efforts.
