Three New Cases of COVID-19 Identified

Dec 30, 2020 | Local News

There are three new cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.  Provincial Health and Wellness Department officials say all three cases are in Central Zone and are close contacts of previously reported cases.

One of the cases is at Prince Andrew High School and one is at Eric Graves Memorial Junior High School, both in Dartmouth.  The school communities have been notified.  The schools are closed for the holiday break and will be cleaned again before staff returns on January 4th.

Contact tracing for all three cases is underway.  Everyone who is a close contact will be notified, tested and asked to self-isolate.

The number of active cases of the virus is 25, down from 30 on Tuesday. One person is in hospital.

Nova Scotia Health Authority’s labs completed 1,592 Nova Scotia tests on Tuesday.
