There are two new cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia. Provincial Health and Wellness Department officials say one case is in Northern Zone and is related to travel outside of Atlantic Canada. The other is in Central Zone and is under investigation. The total number of active cases is now at 41.
Nova Scotia Health Authority’s labs completed 1,409 tests on Saturday
Premier Stephen McNeil says the low case numbers are encouraging as the province starts a new phase of guidelines and restrictions on Monday. Most of the new restrictions apply province-wide. In areas of the Halifax Regional Municipality and Hants County, restaurants, licensed establishments and the Halifax casino will remain closed until January 10th.
